John R. Sorrell
Children's Pastor

As Children's Minister, John is responsible for overseeing all areas of the Children's Ministry at Great Hills. This includes Sunday School, Children's Church, AWANA, FAITH for Kids, Kidz Quest, Vacation Bible School, summer camps, the Austin Fall Fest and much more. John holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theology from Howard Payne University He recently finished a Master of Christian Studies degree and is begining work towards a Master of Arts in Philosophy. John enjoys reading, golf, fly-fishing, skiing and all athletics at the University of Texas. During seminary, he served on staff at Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis, TN. Prior to that, he served as an associate in the Children's Ministry at Great Hills for five years.

kidFAITH

kidFAITH is a Wednesday night program for 1st-5th graders. It meets each Wednesday at 6:45 pm in the children's ministry building.
