| A Word from Danny Forshee, Our New Pastor |
|
I am honored to share a few words about my life, family, and ministry. The Lord saved me while a teenager in college. His grace still amazes me as I stand in awe of the goodness and mercy of our Lord. God has richly blessed me with a godly wife, Ashley, and three teenagers, Hannah,Bryant, and Leighton. Our children love the Lord, walk with the Lord, and are a tremendous blessing to us. The dominant thrust of my ministry is to preach the Word of God and see the people of God become passionate in their service to Jesus Christ. My desire is to be a radiant Christian who shines brightly for Christ. What a joy it is to serve as a pastor and to lead a congregation to become a radiant body of Christ that shines upward in worship, inward in discipleship, and outward in evangelism and missions. We sense the Lord has called us to move to Austin and for me to serve as the next senior pastor of Great Hills Baptist Church. What an awesome task and calling this is! We are excited about this new calling and all the challenges and responsibilities it entails. Please pray for us as we make the transition to GHBC. I believe God has incredible things planned for Great Hills (1 Corinthians 2:9) and as the LORD leads us, we will see God do an amazing and unprecedented work in our midst that will reach out among the nations (Habakkuk 1:5).
