Behold children are a gift from the Lord.  Psalm 127:3

We believe that every child is a gift sent straight from the Lord.  With this gift comes a great responsibilty and challenge that requires parents to have complete and full dependence upon the Lord day by day.   Our pastor and church congregation acknowledge this great commision through Parent/Child Dedication two times a year.

When parents decide to take part in the dedication, they are acknowledging their need for God's wisdom, guidance, and strength in parenting their child.  During the Sunday morning worship service, parents bring their children before the church to pray with the pastor and church body about the responsibilty of rearing their children according to God's precepts.  In turn, the congregation supports the parents' wish to raise their children as God desires by promising to pray for these families.
