Missions

We are a church that believes in sharing the message and love of Christ with all people in our community, our nation, and our world. To be outward in impact, we partner with local nonprofits to reach the people around us. We also support missionaries throughout the world by giving and going on trips to spread the good news to the furthest parts of the earth while being transformed ourselves in the process. Our desire is to be informed, equipped, and mobilized to globally share the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The most common request from our mission partners is that we pray for them. We offer a prayer guide with information about all our partners and specific prayer needs. Pick up a hard copy of the guide in the church office or click here to request a pdf.

Our missions partners are funded through your giving above and beyond regular tithes. You can give one-time amounts or set up recurring giving to the missions fund here.

We offer several short-term mission trips every year, with a variety of ministry opportunities and options for all age groups. If you’d like to know more about any of these trips, or are interested in going somewhere that isn’t listed, sign up to learn more or contact Becky Dean (bdean@ghbc.org).

Upcoming Short-Term Mission Trips

• Open to: All ages
• Cost: Appx. $2000
• Ministry: Serving families in need and light construction projects

Boston  ||  July 3-8, 2024

• Ministry: Provide VBS, childcare, and media support for the annual conference of the Arabic Baptist Church.

• Open to: Age 14 and up, or younger with parent
• Cost: $2,450 by December 31; $2,750 after that until April
• Ministry: Evangelism and meeting local needs.

• Cost: Travel and lodging on your own, details coming soon
• Ministry: Helping a new church plant with block parties and community outreach.

• Open to: All ages. Team size limited to 12 people.

• Ministry: Serving kids and caregivers at a children's home.

• Open to: 19yrs and up. Team size limited to 10 people. 
• Cost: Appx $2,000
